IC Lead Roles

There will be many opportunities to take on a lead role on the sim. Everything from Human (...or are they human?) civil servants like the Chief of Police, Fire Captain, head of the Forestry Service, and the Mayor of our town to the Race Leads that invariably rise up and gain power over others. All of these positions will be available to our active players. Staff does not hold any IC Racial Lead positions. We will play NPCs when requested or needed only.

IC Lead Players will be privy to plot information from time to time that others are not by virtue of the character you are playing. You will be asked to drive plots with that information as well as help others along. It can be a bit of a commitment.

City Civil Servants

There are many potential RP possibilities for players who want to take on civil service jobs. The roles of Chief of Police and Fire, Judges or Attorneys in the public Judicial system, and other public political figures of authority would be considered "lead" roles. We would like players who plan on spending a good amount of time active on the sim.

All Cops, fire fighters, paramedics, teachers, council members, civil works (water and power, for example) and other workers should let us know so that we can direct appropriate plots in that direction.

Race Leads

At the start of our story, there were no "lead" racial characters in play. As you peruse the various race pages, there will be explanations for each as to why. This way, the players as you come in and begin to play can fight amongst yourselves to vie for leadership of the local 'clans' as it were. Or, you won't, and you'll stay largely individual and separate from each other.

It is entirely up to the players how you wish to see the story go. We're just here to support your decisions.

Medical Services

There is a very large hospital in town along with multiple health clinics, including a clinic on the University campus. Whether you are a doctor, nurse, general practitioner, medical assistant, x-ray tech, medical intern, surgeon, or even security and office staff, we ask you to let us know so we can direct RPers toward you and ensure you are seeing what is coming through the clinics and medical teams.

The head of the hospital and emergency services will both be considered lead roles and we ask for people to be available for others' RP.

University

Thirteen Pines University is a surprisingly large school for being so far away from major urban centers. But like Loyola and Pepperdine in southern California, students who wish to attend this off the beaten path school face fierce competition. Professors fight to attain tenure and stay around even after they retire. The sports teams are also all-state and win national awards more than they should. Many people attribute it to the fact the University advertises open curriculum for supernaturals and is one of the leading schools for magic.
